Why Women in Neuro?
In academia and industry, women are underrepresented in leadership roles and other higher-paying positions. This conference is one of the ways we aim to help amplify women’s experience, network, and future successes!

Are men allowed to attend the conference?
Yes! We encourage anyone who wishes to support our presenters and/or our larger initiative to attend. Allies are important to make change!

What's the dress code?
Business casual - think dress pants and a blazer or a dress shirt/nice top. You’ll be meeting new people and there are great photo opportunities, so you’ll want to look professional!

Do I have to attend the whole event or can I just show up for my presentation?
To be respectful to our invited speakers, as well students who were not selected to give a presentation, we ask that you attend as much of the day as possible. This event is for you, and you’ll gain more from attending!

Do presenters have to register?
Yes, all presenters have to register. Your fee helps us cover your food and drinks, the costs of conference supplies, and the space rentals!

Can someone come see my talk without registering?
Unfortunately, no - it’s not fair to everyone else who paid! Our team will be checking badges at the auditorium door (and at the coffee/food stations).

Does the size of my poster really matter that much?
Our boards are limited and only have space for the size outlined in your acceptance email (30" wide). Larger posters will impede on your neighbour or hang off the edge. WiN may not hang your poster if it is too large!

I'm coming from out of town. Where can I stay?
We recommend staying in a hotel downtown as it is walking distance to the conference. If you have extra time, you can explore the waterfront and the amazing small businesses on Princess and the surrounding area!
